Turkey hosts the first international conference for women in yachting
Featuring internationally famous captains, lawyers and other boating professionals. Twelve have already confirmed their participation in the initiative on 23 November
While waiting for the Superyacht Show Türkiye from 8 to 12 May 2025 in Göcek/Fethiye, Turkey will be hosting another important event in the next few days, this time dedicated to women in yachting. The Rixos Premium Göcek, will be hosting, on 23 November, the first international conference dedicated to women in yachting, organised by Superyacht Show Turkiye.
Women and boating: where are we?
There will be a number of topics discussed during the event: from the role of women in the boating industry to the important contributions women have made to yachting, as well as challenges female professionals face everyday in this industry. Topics that will be covered in depth through a series of interviews with some of the speakers that DN, media partner for the event, will publish over the next few weeks.
Boating through the eyes of women
Among the objectives of the conference is to celebrate those professionals who are an “inspiration” to the boating industry, to give a voice to the stories of leading women in the yachting industry and to create new connections and partnerships among women in this sector.
Participating in the event are internationally famous captains, lawyers, chefs, crew members and other exceptional boating professionals. Twelve have already confirmed their participation in the initiative, ready to share their experienced, moderated by captain Kelly Gordon.
