The superyacht named ‘Amanda’, valued at 50 million euros and produced by Nebula Yacht, owned by Serkan Sürer, a member of the Board of Directors of the Konyaaltı Industrialists and Businessmen Association (KONYSİAD) and Vice President of Antalyaspor, was launched at a ceremony held in the Antalya Free Zone. The ceremony was attended by Konyaaltı District Governor Rahmi Köse, Konyaaltı Mayor Cem Kotan, Konyaaltı Industrialists and Businessmen Association (KONYSİAD) President İlhami Kaplan, Antalyaspor Association President Mustafa Ergün, Antalyaspor Incorporated Company President Rıza Perçin, Antalyaspor football players, Free Zone managers, and many guests.
A CEREMONY WAS HELD
Antalya Free Zone, one of Turkey’s rising brands in superyacht production, was the venue for yet another successful project. The 58-meter yacht named “Amanda,” produced by Serkan Sürer’s Nebula Yacht company, was launched. The ceremony held to mark the launch of the yacht was attended by Konyaaltı District Governor Rahmi Köse, Konyaaltı Mayor Cem Kotan, Konyaaltı Industrialists and Business People Association (KONYSİAD) President İlhami Kaplan, Antalyaspor Association President Mustafa Ergün, Antalyaspor Incorporated Company President Rıza Perçin, free zone managers, and many guests.

Serkan Sürer, Chairman of the Board of Nebula Yacht, stated that he has been involved in countless projects throughout his career in the sector and emphasized that Turkey has risen to become the world’s second-largest manufacturer of superyachts today. Expressing that Turkish engineering and craftsmanship are globally recognized, especially in the yacht sector, Sürer said that Nebula Yacht, which he owns, is proud to be an active part of this success story.

Sürer stated that an average of 300 people worked on the completed project and that the construction process took more than three years, adding that they created a broad value chain involving thousands of people, including suppliers. Emphasizing that every detail reflected hard work, expertise, and pride, Sürer thanked all the employees who contributed to the project, noting that the yacht building industry is a demanding and dangerous sector.
‘A STRIKING WORK OF ART WAS CREATED’
Stating that the yacht’s design bears the signature of world-renowned designer Espen Øino, Sürer said that the convergence of global design vision and Turkish engineering produced a striking work of art. Sürer stated that diesel-electric technology was used in the project and that the boat has electric motors powered by three generators instead of the traditional main engine shaft system. Emphasizing that this system represents an environmentally friendly and innovative vision, Sürer said, “We are building the yachts of tomorrow, not today.”

Konyaaltı Mayor Cem Kotan also stated that Konyaaltı’s name being heard in the global market is a source of joy both for tourism and the economy. Expressing that the yacht production process requires a great deal of effort and time, Kotan said that it is gratifying that the project will continue to grow. Kotan emphasized that Konyaaltı Municipality will continue to support production and the business world, adding that every investment made in Antalya is of great importance in terms of tourism and trade.
KÖSE: A GREAT SOURCE OF PRIDE
Konyaaltı District Governor Rahmi Köse stated that he wanted to see the finished product for himself, highlighting the engineering success in particular. Köse said that he had heard that the Free Zone had become a brand in the yachting sector in his first days in office, and that seeing this up close was a great source of pride.
PROVIDES AN ACOUSTIC FOOTPRINT
Amanda, with a full length of 58 meters and a volume of 1,200 gross tons, attracts attention with its 6-deck architecture. The yacht, which prioritizes volume efficiency and living space comfort, was designed and built entirely by Turkish engineers and designers. The involvement of local teams in all technical stages, from design integration to systems engineering, stands out as one of the project’s strongest aspects. The yacht provides low vibration, optimized fuel consumption, and reduced acoustic signature thanks to three diesel-electric main propulsion systems, each with a power of 650 kW.

Amanda’s exterior design bears the signature of world-renowned superyacht designer Espen Øino. Designed with timeless lines and balanced proportions, the yacht aims to secure a strong position in the global superyacht market. Classed by the international classification society Bureau Veritas (BV), the yacht fully meets structural safety and technical compliance criteria. Amanda has 7 guest cabins and a capacity of 12 passengers for commercial use and 14 passengers for private use. Operations will be carried out by a professional crew of 17. Completed with an investment value of approximately 50 million Euros, the project is considered an important reference for the industry in terms of both engineering capacity and design power.
