Organized by Superyacht Show Turkiye, the superyacht exhibition will be held in Göcek between May 8-12. The organizers decided to divide the fleet for convenience: Turkish-flagged charter yachts will be displayed at Göcek Marina, while new boats will be displayed at the neighboring Skopea Marina. The location of the yachting event was well chosen. Göcek is on the Aegean coast, surrounded by mountains and pine forests to the north and a bay sheltered from the winds to the south, where the water is much warmer than in other Turkish resorts. The long season and well-equipped marinas make the town popular with yachtsmen. The British even call it Warm England. The exhibition will include a conference for yacht charter professionals as well as art and entertainment workshops, etc.with

Mehmet Kabak, Founder of Superyacht Show Türkiye, said that they plan to organize not only an annual boat show in Turkey, but also other important events for the sector. For example, empowering women in yachting, which is one of the company’s priority areas of activity, makes their achievements more recognizable when certain conditions are created. In addition, Superyacht Show Turkey actively promotes the Turkish yachting industry internationally, supports yacht tourism, creates new jobs and encourages the development of technologies, including the introduction of methods aimed at protecting the environment.
Sailing Soon
At the end of January, a closed ceremony was held in Ancona for the launch of the motor superyacht Amor à Vida (formerly Project Maranello) from the CRN shipyard, part of the Ferretti Group holding. The project for this completely custom-built vessel (length 67.55 m, beam 11.8 m, gross tonnage 1450 registered) with six decks, steel hull and light alloy superstructure was developed by the renowned Venetian studio Nuvolari Lenard.
As interpreted by CRN, Amor à Vida’s sleek, dynamic and powerful exterior, with its long glass lines on each deck, reflects the unique stylistic identity chosen by the designers of Nuvolari Lenard and is fully in line with the client’s vision and lifestyle. In terms of exterior and interior design, this superyacht combines the creativity of Italian designers, technological innovation, CRN’s extensive know-how and high quality construction.

According to the manufacturer, the white-hulled yacht with teak decks is equipped with a modern hybrid power unit (composition undisclosed), which reduces fuel consumption of both main engines and generators and ensures complete comfort for guests on board. The vessel also features a heat recovery system to optimize the supply of heated water to the swimming pools and the plumbing system (reducing costs while ensuring a fast and efficient service). Some photos show the specific contours of the bow end, designed to reduce the wave resistance of the displacement hull. According to third-party sources, the yacht is equipped with two MTU cruise engines, stabilizers that operate both underway and at anchor, and Satcom equipment that provides reliable radio communications over significant distances using satellites as repeaters.
Must-have elements for a yacht of this class include a sun deck, “beach club”, tender garage, on-deck Jacuzzi, gym, underwater lights, etc. There are well-appointed cabins for 12 passengers; the crew of 17 is accommodated in nine cabins.
Moran Yacht & Ship brokerage company was appointed as the representative of the customer of the yacht. In the coming months, work will continue on the interior and exterior fittings, the assembly of furniture and interior elements, system tests and sea trials. Amor à Vida is scheduled to be delivered to her owner in the spring of this year.
Great HealthFirst
Dutch Design, a Dutch marine innovation studio, is working to create a limited series of 10 new wellness-oriented yachts. The project, called The Sea Rover, is the brainchild of studio founder Scott Blum and designer Bernd Wiel. The project was born out of Blum’s desire to build a unique wellness-focused yacht that suits the active, adventurous lifestyle of its owners without sacrificing luxury – “a personalized oasis on the water, reminiscent of the finest wellness resorts.” Dutch Design’s press release states that the steel and aluminum project Sea Rover (42.4 m long, 8.9 m wide, 480 GT) “ushers in a new era of yachting”.
Bernd Wiel’s portfolio includes expedition yachts and SUV projects for brands such as ICON Yachts, Stratos Yacht, Holterman, Lynx Yachts. His concept for the new project should make it clear how wonderful it is to live at sea in every sense! The yacht’s design features include a very unusual architecture and helipad, an engine compartment illuminated by LED lights and a glass corridor. Passengers can see the engines running as they walk from their cabins to the beach club. The aft “beach club” area, with dining tables, wet bar and sun loungers, consists of a swim platform and folding sides.
The spacious and open-plan saloon with large glass panels on the sides combines dining and entertainment areas, offering interaction between the chef and guests. There are 5 cabins for 12 passengers. The owner’s stateroom on the main deck will feature a spacious dressing room, Japanese-style onsen bath and sauna. The four guest cabins feature the same designer craftsmanship found throughout the ship.

Besides the minimalist interior, carefully designed in the “style of understated elegance”, the yacht is expected to surprise with the central Sky View Staircase connecting all decks. On board there is a spa for your relaxation and rejuvenation, a world-class gym, pickleball and basketball court on the bridge deck.
Sea Rover has a design speed of 12 knots and a range of 4,200 miles at 9 knots; crew of 9.
Solemates already in the water
Heesen Yachts shipyard (Netherlands) has launched the motor yacht Solemates (YN 20655, formerly codenamed Project Venus). The steel vessel (length 55 m, width 9.6 m, gross tonnage 760 starboard tons) has an exterior design by Omega Architects and an interior design by Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture.
A characteristic element of a yacht with classic modern architecture is the “shark’s tooth”, a protrusion in the superstructure design that extends above the windows. As the yacht was built for a family, the designers focused on creating a cozy atmosphere on board. According to Rupert Connor of Luxury Yachts (the owner’s representative), the designers and the shipyard aimed to create a space that accurately reflected the owner’s tastes and listened carefully to his wishes.

The eighth in the series, Solemates features a Rapid Displacement Hull Form hull designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and a massive onion-shaped bow. Her main engines MTU 8V 4000 M63 (2 ˟ 1000 kW, IMO Tier III) provide a top speed of 15.5 knots and at 13 knots the cruising range will be 4,500 miles. The vessel is known to have two 175 kW each and one (emergency) 80 kW generator, a 125 kW bow electric propeller and Naiad Dynamics fin stabilizers.
Solemates will then complete the completion process and make its maiden voyage to the North Sea, where it will undergo extensive testing. Delivery to the customer is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025. The vessel will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September and will be shown at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
Contribution to The Revolution
During the Düsseldorf 2025 Boot Fair, a joint innovation project was announced between Sanlorenzo Yachts and MAN to develop the first yacht with a dual-fuel engine.
The term “dual fuel” refers to a blend of methanol (methyl alcohol) and diesel fuel. It is clear from ship orders, including large tonnage cargo and passenger vessels, that this blend is the most promising compared to other alternative fuel types; the number of those with methanol engines is growing steadily. This fuel is liquid at ambient temperature, biodegradable and safe to use; it requires no special infrastructure and is already available in more than 100 ports worldwide. Emissions are zero if produced from renewable sources (green methanol).
The innovative development discussed at the conference will be implemented on 50 X-Space motor yachts. Sanlorenzo will reconfigure the fuel tanks to accommodate methanol and the fuel supply system for two high-speed MAN diesel engines and two Nanni diesel generators running on a mixture of methanol and diesel. It is then planned to test the units and evaluate the results: Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, diesel fuel consumption and air pollution. The expected reduction in harmful emissions is up to 70 percent.
Although pleasure boats account for only 0.22% of greenhouse gas emissions in the entire maritime sector, Sanlorenzo has made the environmental agenda a strategic priority. Last year, the company launched two groundbreaking carbon neutral models: the 50 Steel, powered by a methanol fuel cell system, and the America’s Cup BGH-HSV (Hydrogen Support Vessel), capable of speeds of up to 50 knots.
The launch of 50 X-Spaces is scheduled for 2027. The project, coordinated by Sanlorenzo, involves an investment of over 4.8 million euros, with 60 percent of its funding coming from EU grants. With the involvement of strategic partners, our next goal is to develop a zero-carbon yacht by the end of the decade. Massimo Perotti, CEO of Sanlorenzo Group, said that the company has played a leading role in the implementation of cutting-edge solutions on many occasions and that this new ambitious project will contribute to a revolution in the entire yachting sector.
Expanding Space
Sirena Yachts shipyard (Turkey) presented the project of the new Sirena 60 at the Düsseldorf 2025 exhibition, which will replace the Sirena 58 in the model range. The new version will retain important advantages such as a large glass area and a large swim platform. The aft part of the main deck has been redesigned: it has been made wider, there is more space for storing the equipment necessary for the crew to work, and the openings in the handrail for access to the pier have been widened. The sofa aft has been made larger and more comfortable. The seating area on the foredeck has also been completely redesigned, starting with more practical upholstery, modern headrests that allow sun loungers to be converted into chairs and ending with the installation of a larger, lowering/raising table.
As for the interior, 5 square meters have been increased. The 1 m2 open galley area on the main deck has been equipped with a more ergonomic chair with spinal support as a control point and the three cabins on the lower deck have been made more spacious thanks to the lack of rounded corners. Residents now also have the possibility to request that the shower stall in each bathroom be separated from the other areas.
The first Sirena 60 is expected to be launched in July and we will be able to see her at the Cannes Yacht Festival in September.
